Our studio pays homage to many of the iconic creators from Eames to Anglepoise; Classic pieces that stand the test of time whilst seamlessly remaining current and eyecatching. These pieces are in our studio to remind us that whilst design in todays world means constantly moving and looking forward, we must also take inspiration from our past.

Inspiration for groundbreaking design is all around us in the Candy Black studio and we’ve started to collect some vintage items so that you can surround yourself with inspirational pieces in your home, office or studio that just might make you smile before you get creative.

Capturing magic from by gone eras and bringing it bang up to date with her flair for design, MLK + HNY is interior designer Katie Culley’s own personally hand crafted range of products sold in the Candy Black Shop. MLK + HNY encapsulates a love of quality in design and all things vintage and reflects Katie’s life long dream to own her own products and home furnishings company. 

Never using new fur, but instead, breathing new life into rescued pieces of vintage fur she has created a current and eclectic range of products to bring style and flair into the home or work space. Each individual piece created is handmade with care and attention to ensure that full use can be made of it.
